If you read my last blog post, you know that I am following the 12 week year plan from the book The 12 Week Year. So long story short, everything I want to accomplish in a year, is supposed to be done by the end of MARCH if it works. Basically I will be a busy boss babe for the next 12 Weeks and I’ll check back then. This year I really took a while to look at WHY I wanted to accomplish certain goals and thought about the big picture. I have really high aspirations. Most people would literally think I am crazy if I told them. I’m not going to sit here and give you a list of my to-do’s or star with you what my sales goals are for the year but I will tell you what I am focusing on and why!
My three main points of growth I am focusing on are:
- Growing my Instagram/ Blog following. WHY? When I started my blog last March, I wrote a few blog posts, did a few collaborations and tried to keep up the best I can with my Instagram. My boutique comes first always, BUT… I noticed even when I kept up with this a little, it was easy for me to gain a personal following and it resulted in sales for my boutique. I really want to focus on doing this WAY more consistently. I mostly want to do this because it is a great way to tie something I love doing into growing my business. However, I am trying to put out WAY more content than I am consuming or else I will have no time for anything HAHA. I think it is a win-win and a great avenue to focus on this year. Hopefully you guys don’t think I am greedy…. I just need to make a living (LOL let’s be real on here)!
- Growing Vogue Society Boutique. WHY? Okay well this is an obvious one.. like I said I need to make a living. Growing my boutique will always be #1 on my list and it does tie into the first goal I just talked about. I have a super big vision for Vogue Society. It has grown my LEAPS and BOUNDS in 2018. I have a clear path of where I want to go this year and 10 years from now. This is not just some “little project” of mine… this is me literally building an empire.
- Mental & Physical Health. WHY? Well, I have always focused on fitness and eating pretty healthy. However, in last year I was on both ends of the spectrum. At some points, I was “too busy” to even think about exercise and had no time to cook. At other times, I was on Whole 30 and I weigh 20 pounds lower than my highest weight ever. CRAZY! I don’t want to focus on the scale. What I do want to do is focus on what I am putting into my body. Because with my goal of growing the business, I need to be productive. And to put it simple, I am a lazy sack of potatoes when I eat crappy and don’t work out. I also put mental health in there. I’ve suffered with really bad anxiety attacks since my Senior year of college. Enough to go on medicine for it (nothing to be ashamed of, so many more people suffer from it than we think!). Owning a business is also really stressful and I have had a handful of full on mental breakdowns over the past year. Like starting to cry on mile 3 of the treadmill randomly. LOL. I really want to work on my mentality of everything. Be more present in the moment. Enjoy my time building my “empire” and being in my 20’s.
Those are my three main focuses of the year. I can list a million little goals that I have, but I should go get busy CRUSHING THEM!!! Let me know what you are focusing on below in the comments!
